If you have questions about maintaining and servicing your spa, please consult our online owner's guide or call us at 1-877-BUY-SPAS (1-877-289-7727).

Where should I put my spa?
Most Strong Spas are installed outdoors and with our exclusive molded base installation is simple and the spa can be placed almost anywhere on solid, level ground. To install Strong Spas indoors you need to consider if the spa will fit through the door and if the structural strength of the floor is adequate to hold the spa filled with water.  A typical 3-person spa weighs about 2500 pounds filled.

What special plumbing is needed for my spa?
None. Once your Strong Spa is in place, simply fill it with water from a garden hose.

How do I keep the water clean?
We recommend that you follow the Maintaining Spa Water Quality in your Strong Spas owner’s manual or call us at 1-877-BUY-SPAS (1-877-289-7727).  Maintaining your spa water and keeping it clean not only helps the spa’s equipment run properly, but also improves the overall spa experience.

How often should I clean the spa?
With regular use and well-maintained water, we recommend you clean your spa every 3-6 months. Essentially this involves draining the water from the spa, brushing the sides and refilling with fresh water from a hose.  Consult your owner’s manual for specific instructions.

How is the temperature controlled?
Temperature, jets and lights can all be controlled with the simple touch of a button. Our topside control panel combines advanced micro-processor technology with solid-state electronic switches, creating the world’s finest, most reliable, state-of-the-art, user-friendly control system. Navigation is a breeze.

Are water jets adjustable?
Most jets in your spa are adjustable. Rotating the face of an adjustable jet to the left (counter-clockwise) will increase the amount of water flow through the jet. Rotating the face of an adjustable jet to the right (clockwise) will decrease the amount of water flow through the jet.

How much horsepower does my spa pump need?
That is going to vary by spa model. All Strong Spas are equipped with Waterway Executive pumps to increase water flow for a more vigorous massage experience, while reducing electrical consumption of the pumps. We did this by working closely with Waterway to increase the size and angle of the pump impellers; and by optimizing internal plumbing, jet placement and jet configuration. The results are a difference you can feel.

Can Strong Spas help my stress, pain, or other physical conditions?
You should consult a medical professional for specific advice. It is well known that hydrotherapy-the combination of heat, massage, and buoyancy-can help relieve stress, pain, and other symptoms. Heat dilates blood vessels, increasing blood flow to carry oxygen and nutrients to sore and damaged tissues. Strong Spas jets give you a full-body massage, relaxing tension from muscles, while the natural buoyancy of the water relieves pressure on strained joints and muscles.  Immersion in a warm, soothing hot tub before bed helps to transition to a good night’s sleep, and the release of endorphins that occur during a warm water massage can also relieve stress and improve your mood.

How long does my spa need to heat-up before it’s ready to use?
Controls for your Strong Spas allow you to choose whether to keep your spa warm and ready to use at all times or set it to heat when you’re most likely to use it.  Whatever you desire, your Strong Spas can be customized and be ready for use whenever needed.

What type of electrical service do I need for my spa?
Most Strong Spas are designed for 240 volt electrical service requiring a 50 or 60 amp breaker. Certain models will work with 120 volt electrical service that enables you to essentially “plug and play”. These models can also be converted to a 240 volt electrical service if needed. When connecting via your regular outlet, don’t share the circuit with another appliance, and be sure it has an appropriate amperage rating.
