Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Acts as the primary point of contact for all shift issues
  • Implements process improvement, methods improvement, and problem-solving activities to improve productivity and reduce cost
  • Accounts for quality system procedures in the area of responsibility
  • Sets output levels and prepare/publish graphical reporting packages
  • Review production and operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing and maintenance issues to ensure minimum cost and prevent operational delays
  • Participates in the interviewing, hiring and training of new team members
  • Evaluates performance of team members, rewards and disciplines team members according to company policies (Attendance, Code of Conduct)
  • Maintains performance records on team members, routinely communicates performance to team members and coaches team members on methods and techniques for improving performance, including reviewing time records
  • Maintains continual follow-up program to ensure adherence to procedures and operating procedures
  • Teaches supports and assures that quality and quantity standards are maintained
  • Coordinates overtime management, attendance management and time-off scheduling
  • Maintains a high level of personal flexibility to accommodate business needs
  • Acts as a role model for all expectations (safety, attendance, productivity, error-free, etc.)
  • Maintains housekeeping and safety to the highest possible standards
